CLOSING DOCUMENTATION FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Introduction
In order for the CIFVF to pay you the last payment for your development
project, a number of pieces of documentation will be required.
Information on the documentation required can be found below.
Complete Treatment Package
A complete treatment package should include the following:
a) project description
b) treatment & approach
c) financial plan for production
d) budget for production
e) target audience/marketing
f) non-theatrical market use
g) production schedule
h) production team
i) writers agreements- if applicable, a copy of fully executed agreements
between the Producer and every person, corporation or other entity
providing development services as set out in the development proposal
or development budget and for the fees set out in the development
budget including, but not limited to, agreements with writers, script
editors, researchers and consultants, including all such agreements
providing for a transfer of rights in and to the proceeds of such
services to the Producer and being subject to approval by the Fund;
j) chain of title (from Resources Section)
Final Cost Related Documentation
1. A detailed dated Final Cost Report.

3. Affidavit/Review Engagement Report
- If the development costs are less than $200,000 - a final cost
statement attached to an affidavit attesting to the costs
expended is required
- Affidavit - Development Costs
- If the development costs are between $200,000 and $500,000 - a
Review Engagement Report is required

Miscellaneous
1. A report of all agreements entered into by the Producer for any
future exploitation of the work, such as, but not limited to, reports
from merchandising and other licensing agreements;
2. Written request for payment
